Greene's recovery from a fractured right foot could last longer than his initial 6-8 week timetable, Lynn Henning of The Detroit News reports.
Greene appeared to be trending toward making the Tigers' Opening Day roster before sustaining his foot injury at the beginning of April. He's on the 7-day minor-league injured list to begin the year and will likely be held out of game action until at least June. Once he's cleared to appear in games, the 21-year-old will presumably have a lengthy rehab assignment before he returns to consideration for a major-league roster spot.
