AC Milan are trying to seal a double deal with Lille involving Renato Sanches as well as Sven Botman but they are not finding it easy, a report claims.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan are continuing to test the ground for Renato Sanches as the Portuguese midfielder is a the number one target for the midfield, however there are several uncertainties.

The first is that his agent Jorge Mendes – a notoriously tough negotiator – wants €6m net per season for his client. That is a figure that Milan have already considered too high with regards to other profiles and in renewal talks, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working with Mendes.

The hope is that an agreement can be found at a point that satisfies all parties, but the conditions are not provoking optimism. The second reason why Renato Sanches continues to be unconvincing is that he has now had four injuries this season, having not played since 12 March.
