Lamar men arrested after stolen tools found

Two men from Lamar, Missouri, were arrested for stealing Wednesday morning. Read the full press release below:

Around 07:00am, 04/06/22, the Lamar Police Department received a report of tools stolen from a work truck that occurred overnight.

The investigation led officers to a residence in the 1300 block of College St. With assistance from the Barton County Prosecutors office, the officers were able to obtain a search warrant.

The Lamar Police Department and the Barton County Sheriff’s Office served the search warrant at the residence at about 09:30am; many of the tools were located there.

Kaden McDowell, 19, of Lamar and Chance Jordan, 23, of Lamar were arrested and Probable Cause Affidavits have been submitted to the Barton County Prosecutor for consideration of formal charges.
