County zoning regulations continue to be reviewed

At their March 31 meeting, Phillips County commissioners reported that the county’s zoning regulations are still in the process of being reviewed, and there will be a follow-up meeting at a later time to review different scenarios and get recommendations for improvements or amendments for the regulations.

On March 18, the commissioners held a Zoom meeting with attorneys John Sullivan and Barbara Green of Sullivan Green Seavy LLC, in which they reviewed their proposal that was submitted in response to Phillips County’s advertised request for proposals as part of the Energy/Mineral Impact Assistance Fund Grant requirements. The grant was sought to help fund the comprehensive zoning regulations review and update.

Last September, commissioners approved the law firm to conduct a thorough analysis of each of the 11 sections of the county’s land use resolution.
