Retired Steelers defensive end Brett “Da Beard” Keisel has just been named as having the Greatest Beard Ever.

Beard company Beardbrand gathered the 64 greatest beards in history in a tournament bracket that was broken up into four areas: Music, History, Sports and Actor/Other.

A No. 3 seed, Keisel took out No. 14 seed, late MMA fighter Kimbo Slice in the first round.

In the next round, Kesiel beat No. 11 Dallas Keuchel, followed by an upset over No. 2 NFL quarterback journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He get survived the sports bracket by beating No. 1 seed NBA star James Harden.

In the beard final four, Keisel beat late ZZ Top bassist and No. 1 seed out of the music bracket Dusty Hill.

After taking down No. 8 seed Charles Darwin, Beardbrand influencer and No. 3 seed out of the Actor/Other category, Greg Berzinsky took on “Da Beard”.

Keisel won the fan vote 57.2 percent to 42.8 percent to be named the having the “Greatest Beard Ever.”
