Nicolle Wallace marries MSNBC contributor Michael Schmidt

Nicolle Wallace tied the knot with Michael S. Schmidt over the weekend, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

The MSNBC anchor and Schmidt married on Saturday in an intimate ceremony surrounded by immediate family, a spokesperson for the network confirmed to Page Six.

The “Deadline: White House” host returned to work Monday wearing a wedding band on her left hand.

Page Six broke the news in March 2019 that Wallace, 50, and the New York Times writer, 38, began dating. The two met on the set of her show, as he appears as a frequent guest and commentator.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist was around Wallace so frequently at the time that the pair disclosed their relationship to network chiefs, who were fine with it, relatively quickly. The network head honchos were also understanding when “Morning Joe” co-anchors Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough coupled up.

Schmidt and Wallace raised eyebrows when they were spotted together at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, in 2019, but a source close to Wallace denied any “gallivanting,” adding, “Nicolle is one of the most professional people I know.” The source insisted at the time that the couple only attended a breakfast together.

The MSNBC anchor shares one son with ex-husband Mark Wallace.

This will be the second marriage for Wallace, who served as President George W. Bush’s White House communications director. She was previously married to lawyer and Bush-appointed US Ambassador to the United Nations Mark Wallace from 2005 until 2019, when the pair divorced. Friends told Page Six at the time that the former couple had been separated for at least a year before filing for divorce.

They share one son, Liam Wallace.

Schmidt has broken a series of major stories, including the existence of Hillary Clinton’s private email account in 2015.
