Todd Frazier is set to retire after an 11-year career, he told Greg Joyce of the New York Post.

A pair of All-Star nods and the 2015 Home Run Derby crown highlighted his time in majors.

"It's been my love my whole life," Frazier said Monday. "It's very hard to let go. Don't get me wrong: It's one of the toughest decisions I've ever made in my life. But where I'm at in my career and where I'm at in my life, I think it was the right decision. I think it's time to be that family figure that I've always wanted to be."

Frazier appeared in just 13 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2021, struggling to the tune of a .086/.200/.114 slash line with zero home runs and four RBIs.

The best seasons of Frazier's career came with the Cincinnati Reds. He made both of his All-Star appearances with the club and won the Home Run Derby in front of Reds fans at Great American Ball Park in 2015.

The 36-year-old also made stops with the Chicago White Sox, New York Yankees, New York Mets, and Texas Rangers.

Frazier finishes his career with a .241/.318/.445 slash line, 218 home runs, and 640 RBIs in 1,244 games.

"I hope I was the guy that brought energy, emotion, that had a lot of fun. But also, when we're on the field, it's game time," Frazier said. "I hope I brought some joy to the fans I played for because that's all I wanted to do."
