Ricky Del Rio gave up one run on four hits while striking out 10 and walking two as St. Thomas Aquinas won on the road, 8-1, over Carteret.

Tyler Kadi went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for St. Thomas Aquinas (1-0), which scored four runs in the fifth inning for a 7-0 advantage.

Christian Scaff went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in the victory.

Del Rio pitched six and 2/3′s innings while Kadi came in for the final out.

Carteret is now 0-2.
