Wilkes-Barre (Luzerne County) - Restaurant Week, which is put on by the Diamond City Partnership, starts Monday, April 4th and continues through Sunday, April 10th in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
Several downtown restaurants like Istanbul Grill are offering special items and discounts off the regular price of their menu items. Abide, Boozy B’s, Chill Grill, Circles on the Square, Eden-a-Vegan Cafe, Franco’s Pizza, and Senunas Bar & Grill are offering a 20 percent discount, while Cafe’ Toscana, Jonathans, Bank & Vine, and Oyster are offering multi-course dinners for $35. Rodano’s is offering one of their multi-course dinners for $25. In order to get these special deals, make sure to mention 'Downtown Restaurant Week'. We're told the special prices and discounts are not good on alcoholic beverages.
"I would encourage people to come out this week.," said Terry who is from Kingston. "You get a lot of new specials that restaurants would like to offer to help you come to know them. It's a good time to try a dish you've never tried before and a place you've never gone before."
Diamond City Partnership officials say not only is it a good time to try something new for dinner, but it also gives local restaurateurs an extra financial shot-in-the-arm.
