This just in: 2022 just got better because Disney Channel alumni Brenda Song and Cole Sprouse reunited and my heart can’t take it. The pair starred in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and its spin-off series, The Suite Life on Deck, throughout the 2000s. Now, Brenda plays one of the main characters on Hulu’s women-centered series Dollface, and Cole just starred alongside Lana Condor in HBO Max’s new rom-com Moonshot.

In support of the new movie, Lana sat down for an interview with Brenda as part of Character Media’s Character Conversations series. Believe it or not, the actors actually met for the first time during the interview and talked about spearheading Asian representation in pop culture and “maintaining a sense of wonder.” However, it wasn’t long before their mutual costar, Cole, “video-bombed” the conversation.

“This is not fair,” Cole said as he walked into frame. “When I found out you [and Lana] got to do a solo interview, I was so upset.”

Brenda then chimed in and reached out her arms for a virtual hug. “Cody, I miss you!” she said, referring to Cole as his beloved Disney Channel character.

Brenda also responded to Cole’s comment about being “upset” about the interview. “No, you weren’t. You don’t answer my texts, you don’t talk to me,” she playfully said. “I miss you, what the heck!” Cole reassured his former costar, with whom he worked on both Suite Life shows for six years during their teens and early 20s.

“I was, like, yelling. I’m, like, genuinely upset,” he continued before Lana confirmed that “he was heated.” Brenda laughed and continued to bring on the sass. “To be honest, this is probably the only way Cole will talk to me anyway, so,” she told Lana before diving into the interview.

We honestly can’t get enough of this super suite sweet exchange between Brenda and Cole, and hopefully we get to see an official Suite Life reunion in the near future.
