At the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, and Samuel L. Jackson reunited to present the Oscar statuette for Best Actor. The three principal cast members of the 1994 sleeper hit Pulp Fiction shared the Oscars stage on the 28th anniversary of the film’s release.

Another reunion, this time on the big screen, is in store for Thurman and Jackson. Entertainment Weekly reports that Thurman and Jackson will be co-starring in the upcoming film, The Kill Room. The film, written by Jonathan Jacobson and directed by Nicol Paone, bears a resemblance to some of the elements of Pulp Fiction.  Like Quentin Tarantino’s classic, The Kill Room is a darkly comedic thriller set in a criminal milieu. The plot concerns an assassin who unwittingly becomes a success in the world of art. Thurman has been tapped to play an art dealer. Jackson, who portrayed one of a pair of hired guns alongside Travolta in Pulp Fiction, will be portraying the hitman’s boss.

Production on The Kill Room is scheduled to begin in spring 2022, with filming taking place in New York and New Jersey. The project is a collaboration between Jordan Yale Levine, Jon Keeyes, Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions, Nicol Paone, Uma Thurman herself, and Anne Clements of Idiot Savant Pictures, with Dannielle Thomas and Jason Weinberg from Untitled Entertainment.

Paone, known for her debut feature film Friendsgiving starring Malin Ackerman and Kat Dennings, as well as her work at “Funny or Die,” gushed about working with the film icons. “Getting to make The Kill Room — an already incredible script — with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson, is beyond my wildest dreams. Every moment they’re on screen, they are both enviable and eye-catching. I am eternally grateful to both of them for saying yes, and I am thrilled to bring this to life alongside Anne Clements and Yale Productions.”
