Van Riemsdyk (upper body) was activated from injured reserve and is playing Sunday against visiting Minnesota, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports.
The 30-year-old blueliner missed five games with the injury, but he's taking pregame line rushes ahead of Sunday's game on the third pairing with Justin Schultz and has evidently recovered. Van Riemsdyk will look to build on his 14 points in 58 games this season.
