Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp gave a damning assessment of Manchester United managerial candidate Mauricio Pochettino on Saturday evening.

Pochettino has been long-linked with the Manchester United managerial position. Considering the Red Devils are in the market for a new manager ahead of next season, it’s no surprise to see the Argentine’s name feature among the frontrunners.

However, there is no denying that the job Pochettino has done with Paris Saint-Germain has been underwhelming. He failed to deliver Ligue 1 last season, being beaten to the post by Lille, and has fallen short in the Champions League.

It makes you wonder whether he has the necessary pedigree to manage a club like Man United, especially considering the problems that they have encountered behind the scenes in recent seasons.

Granted, his opinion doesn’t count for much when discussing matters relating to Man United, but Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has made no secret of his opinion that the club would be making a mistake by appointing Pochettino.

Do you agree with this?
