Oscar-winner Spike Lee sends support to UNC's Leaky Black ahead of Final Four vs. Duke

Oscar-winner Spike Lee sent support to North Carolina men's basketball forward Leaky Black ahead of Saturday's Final Four game against Duke. 

Lee said on Instagram and Twitter, "Tar Heels Tonight-"GO LEAKY. GO LEAKY. GO LEAKY. GO LEAKY"

Leaky's mom, Carla Black, also shared on Twitter a direct message that Lee sent to Leaky Black on Instagram. 

Lee's direct message said, "Blessings My Brother, This is Spike Lee. You Got Da Best Nickname In Sports. Love Ya Game Too. Do Ya Thang." 

Lee won an Oscar in 2019 for the "BlacKkKlansman" screenplay. He is also Oscar-nominated for producing/directing "BlacKkKlansman" and for writing the 1989 movie "Do the Right Thing."

On Saturday, Lee was at the Michigan football spring game working on a documentary about Colin Kaepernick.

The North Carolina vs. Duke men's basketball Final Four game is scheduled to start at 8:49 p.m. ET on Saturday.

No. 2-seeded Duke enters the matchup 32-6 overall. Most recently, Duke defeated Arkansas 78-69 on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

No. 8 seed North Carolina comes into the game 28-9 overall. On Sunday, UNC beat St. Peter's 69-49 in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

The winner advances to face either Kansas or Villanova in the NCAA Tournament national championship game on Monday.

In their earlier meetings this season, Duke beat North Carolina 87-67 on Feb. 5 in Chapel Hill, and North Carolina beat Duke 94-81 on March 5 in Durham.
