As the Supreme Court confirmation process for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson continues, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican, said he would not vote to confirm Jackson. Hosts of the talk show The View got into a heated exchange about the news, with panelist Sunny Hostin calling Ana Navarro, who is a Republican, “the only non-loca in the party anymore.”

Novarro kicked off the discussion by saying Graham’s decision was “incredibly disappointing to me,” and remarking, “It really is like the invasion of the body snatchers,” saying that she’d had hope that Graham would vote to confirm Jackson, for whom he’d voted to confirm for the U.S. Court of Appeals last year.

Guest co-host Chelsea Clinton pointed out that “Lindsey Graham is still living with the consequences of the 2016 election, when Donald Trump ate the Republican party.”

Joy Behar quipped, “He did put on some weight, you’re right.”

It was here that Hostin and Navarro got heated, with Hostin asking Navarro why she was still a Republican and Navarro retorting to ask why Hostin was still a Catholic. Hostin asserted, “The party that you loved doesn’t exist anymore. It’s the party of insurrectionists, it’s the party of traitors, white supremacists, it’s not the party that you loved. It’s just not.”

Navarro shot back, “What you don’t understand is that no matter how much you want it to happen, the Republican party is not going to disappear.”

“You’re the only non-loca in the party anymore,” Hostin told Navarro.

When Clinton needled Navarro and asked when she’d run for office, Navarro said, “I have zero intention of running, but I’m not the only non-loca.”
