GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) – U.S. district judge Judith Levy issued an order allowing former Michigan governor Rick Snyder to appeal her recent decision requiring him to take the witness stand in the Flint water trial.

This comes despite Snyder and other witnesses' request to invoke their 5th Amendment privilege against testifying.
Snyder was governor when the City of Flint switched their water source to the Flint River, which led to an outbreak of legionnaire’s disease amongst city residents.

Snyder was charged with two criminal misdemeanor counts of willful neglect of duty in January 2021.
