Famed UK comedian Peter Kay has officially joined Instagram and his fans could not be more excited!

The 48-year-old television star has disappeared from our screens over the past few years, leaving many concerned and wondering what had happened. In 2017, Kay canceled his remaining standup comedy tour dates, giving a vague reason of “unforeseen family circumstances” for his decision. His fans know how important family is to Kay, so many wondered if he decided to take a break from his career to focus on his loved ones.

We still never got an answer as to why Kay stepped out of the spotlight, but he’s been slowly making a comeback. As reported by the Evening Standard, the Car Share star just shared an exciting announcement on his new Instagram, leaving his followers excited for what’s to come.

See Peter Kay at new Dance For Life shows

Per his Instagram post, Kay is offering up additional tickets for his upcoming show, Peter Kay’s Dance For Life, which is a charity event for Cancer Research UK. The show is taking place in three locations, and though the London event is sold out, there are now more tickets available for the Manchester and Liverpool dates.

If you’re interested in attending in Manchester, the event will take place at Manchester Central during Easter Weekend on April 15 and April 16. As for the Liverpool shows, you can catch Kay at the Liverpool Space by M&S Bank Arena on August 19 and August 20.

Peter Kay’s Dance For Life

is set to be a three-hour danceathon event, according to

Manchester Evening News

, which will see Kay doing standup and choosing the music. This is hardly Kay’s first rodeo when it comes to danceathons, as he’s reportedly been hosting them since 2016. He said of the event:

"“I’ve honestly never had so much fun as I had working on Dance For Life. The atmosphere was so happy and positive; it really is a great way to raise money for the worthiest of causes. All people have to do is turn up and dance. I’d also like to encourage people to get themselves sponsored via JustGiving.com where a special Dance For Life team page has been set up.”"

We can’t wait to hear how Kay’s charity shows go, and hopefully now that he’s on Instagram, we’ll get to see tons of photos!
