WARSAW – Jefferson Starship will be the featured performer when rock and roll returns this summer to Central Park in Warsaw.
Jefferson Starship and opening act, Roanoke, will team up for this year’s Rockin’ For Riley Rock Concert in Warsaw on June 17.
In addition, Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department and WRSW also announced that the featured artist for the Country Concert for St. Jude on July 22 will be Tyler Farr.
The concerts at Central Park mark the return of large-scale outdoor concerts in Warsaw after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
Both concerts are free and will start at 6:30 at Glover Pavilion on the southern edge of Central Park.
Jefferson Starship was founded in 1974 following the break up of Jefferson Airplane. The band enjoyed success through the 1980s with a string of hits including, We Built This City.
Farr was the first artist signed to Jason Aldean’s Night Train Records/BBR Music Group. The Country-rocker had three No.1 songs in 2013 with the release of his debut album, Redneck Crazy, according to his website.
Robyn Ottolini was named as the opening act for Farr.
“You truly can’t beat a free concert with nationally recording artists!! We are so grateful to our sponsors for allowing us to continue these concerts for the community!” the city said in an online post shared on Friday, April 1.
