James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, a full-service law firm with offices in Macon, Atlanta,  and Athens announces the addition of attorney Shepard Smith to the firm’s General Litigation practice  group.  

Shepard’s practice focuses on insurance defense and general civil litigation, including business litigation,  tort litigation and probate law. Prior to joining James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, Shepard practiced law  in North Carolina where he gained significant experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation  defense, and many other general litigation matters. 

Shepard earned his B.A. in Political Science from The University of Georgia in 2008 and his Juris Doctor  from Charlotte School of Law in 2013.
