Manuel Lanzini: West Ham midfielder 'sore but OK' after crash near training ground
West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini is "sore but OK" after being involved in a car crash on the way to training, says manager David Moyes.
The car Lanzini was travelling in crashed and hit a tree in east London at around 14:00 BST on Thursday.
The 29-year-old, who has been on international duty with Argentina, did not need hospital treatment.
"It happens in all walks of life. It happened to Manuel but he's OK, thankfully," said Moyes.
"The car went into a ditch off the road. He's a bit sore but he's OK."
Lanzini, who was being driven by a chauffeur, was assessed by medics at the crash scene near West Ham's Rush Green training centre.
"Officers attended and it was reported that a car had left the A12 westbound carriageway before colliding with a tree," police said.
