Colton Underwood first came to Bachelor Nation as a contestant on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. He was there nearly until the end but was ultimately eliminated in the eighth week. Underwood returned for the fifth season of Bachelor in Paradise and then of course, as the Bachelor himself for the show’s 23rd season.

His season was interesting, to say the least, and included a fence jump seen around the world and a proclamation of love to Cassie Randolph. He was grief-stricken when Cassie tried to break things off but got what he wanted when he left the show with her dating.

For a bit of time, it seemed Colton and Cassie’s relationship was going well. They looked in love and even hunkered down together at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in the summer of 2020, the couple broke up which led to its own saga of drama including a restraining order against Colton Underwood.

Sometime after their breakup/drama, Underwood made the decision to publicly come out as gay. He had questioned his sexuality for much of his life and after ignoring it for so long, Underwood decided it was time to face his truth.

Now, he’s engaged to his boyfriend Jordan C. Brown, and planning his upcoming nuptials! Life definitely had a complicated path for our former Bachelor, but it looks like he’s finally found his happily ever after.

When was Colton Underwood the Bachelor?

As mentioned previously, Colton became the lead in 2019 for The Bachelor Season 23. His season introduced us to many of the women that are an integral part of the Bachelor Nation alum family. Let’s see, we met Hannah Godwin, Cassie Randolph, Tayshia Adams, amongst many more.

His season was one of the more memorable ones given all the drama that went down, but also everything that followed the season. If we look back to three years ago, so much has changed for Bachelor Nation and Colton Underwood himself–but it looks like things are settling in as they were always meant to!

Congratulations once again to Colton on his engagement!
