Several departments continue to battle fire in western Oklahoma

Several fire departments are still fighting a fire in western Oklahoma.
In Roger Mills County, a fire has raged on for 24 hours now. Overnight, crews still were fighting the fire that broke out on Tuesday, including task forces and departments from Oklahoma and Texas.

Emergency management said Oklahoma Forestry requested an airplane to map the area to help coordinate firefighting efforts. The Oklahoma National Guard air support was also called in to help.
The fire prompted evacuations around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon with the National Weather Service out of Norman issuing a fire warning. So far, one home has been lost in the fire and no reports of injuries.
In an update from emergency management, they had several fires go up at the same time but all fires except the Durham fire are out and being monitored.
