For the second season in a row, Clark Kellogg award winner Elmore James of Brush was named first-team All-Ohio.

The 6-foot-2 Ohio signee headlined The News-Herald coverage area in the announcement of the Division I and II All-Ohio teams by the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association on March 29.

James became Brush’s all-time leading scorer to cap his tenure as an Arc. On top of winning the Clark Kellogg award at The News-Herald’s basketball award show March 21, James averaged 24.2 points and five rebounds a game to help the Arcs earn their first No. 1 seed in postseason history after a 20-4 season.

Also earning All-Ohio honors was Mayfield senior Hayden Nahra, who was selected to the third team. Also a Clark Kellogg award finalist Nahra, like James, is the school's all time leading scorer as he averaged 17.5 points and 8.8 rebounds.

In Division II, Gilmour senior Ryan Mueller earned second-team All-Ohio. The Lancers' big man averaged a double-double of 16 points and 10.9 rebounds to help Gilmour reach their first state final in 30 years.

The coverage area was also well represented in the special and honorable mentions in both divisions. With D-I, Mentor’s Sean Collins, Madison’s John Peter Dragas, Euclid’s Clayton Cunningham and Brush’s Antwone Woolfolk earned honorable mention All-Ohio.

Chardon’s Nathanael Sulka and Perry’s Jake Cubbison were named D-II special mention All-Ohio. Earning honorable mention in D-II were Chagrin Falls' James Kosmides, Lake Catholic’s Aidan Fitzgerald, Gilmour’s Brandon Rose and VASJ’s Noah Clarke.

Nominations were determined based off regular-season statistics. From there, all-district teams were formulated throughout the state, which led to the All-Ohio nomination and voting process.
