What are the many alumni from Game of Thrones doing these days? They’re headlining new action movies like 9 Bullets, about a burlesque dancer turned author who takes in her neighbor’s kid after he witnesses the murder of his own parents, and then keeps him safe from the crime boss who’s after him, a crime boss who just happens to be her ex.

This movie sounds very melodramatic and intense, so who better to play the lead role than Lena Headey, aka Cersei Lannister herself? Even more intriguing, she breaks out her best American accent for the occasion. Watch the trailer below:

9 Bullets comes out in theaters and on demand on April 22.

Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) in the trailer for Gentleman Jack season 2

And Headey isn’t the only Game of Thrones vet with a new project coming out. Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) will return in the second season of Gentleman Jack, a period drama that made a big splash when it debuted on HBO in 2019.

Gentleman Jack tells the story of Anne Lister, the daughter of a well-off family who was determined to live her life as a lesbian long before that kind of thing was acceptable. Whelan plays her far less forceful sister Marian. She only gets a couple of shots in the trailer, but Whelan makes the most of them:

We don’t have an exact release date for Gentleman Jack season 2 yet, but with a full trailer out, we can assume it’s coming soon.

Finally, apropos of nothing, here’s some pictures of Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) having fun with her dog:

That will be all.

Next. Matt Smith suggests HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel is coming in August. dark
