Kurashev recorded a power-play assist in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Sabres.

Kurashev was a healthy scratch Saturday versus the Golden Knights, but he was able to make an impact in his return to the lineup. The 22-year-old set up Jonathan Toews' first-period marker. With 17 points, 71 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 57 contests this season, Kurashev has failed to make a marked improvement from his pace as a rookie last year. He may continue to take the occasional turn in the press box over the final month of the season if head coach Derek King thinks he needs to be sent a message.
