Duquesne Freshman G Jackie Johnson Enters Transfer Portal

Published

on

On Monday, Duquesne guard Jackie Johnson III entered the transfer portal after playing one season for the Dukes.

Johnson showcased extensive three-point range and quickness in his lone year with the program. He and Primo Spears came into the same recruiting class for head coach Keith Dambrot, but it now looks as though the two will not finish their career at Duquesne together with Johnson departing.

Johnson, a 5-foot-11 guard, averaged 9.5 points per game for Duquesne while shooting 42% from the field and 37% from three-point range. The Hargrave Military Academy product started 11 games as a freshman, scoring a total of 285 points and hitting 41 threes on the year.

Programs like duquesne and Robert Morris shouldn’t even recruit high school players just recruit the portal ,any players from these programs show any good skills they transfer so what’s the point
