Oscars hosts Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes teased legendary actor Dame Judi Dench at this year's 94th Academy Awards, using a Kim Kardashian quote.

And let's just say, Kardashian's now-infamous Variety interview, in which she lamented that 'nobody wants to work these days,' is the gift that keeps on giving.

Acknowledging the fact that Dench, had lost out to West Side Story's Ariana DeBose, in the Best Supporting Actress category, Hall turned to the 87-year-old Belfast actor, saying:

'Dame Judy Dench, we got something for you. We got an inspirational quote for you.'

Sykes then added: 'Because you didn't win tonight.'

After which, Hall continued, 'This is a quote from Kim Kardashian: 'Work harder,' that's what we need you to do.'

The pair were referring to something that Kim Kardashian said in an interview with Variety heralding the re-incarnation of the family's famous reality TV show on Hulu, in which she states 'I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***ing ass up and work.'

After Hall and Sykes made their quip, the camera panned towards the audience, to show Judi Dench very much taking the joke on the chin, laughing with the rest of the guests.

Dench might have missed out on this particular accolade, but she has won an Academy Award before (Best Supporting Actress for her role as the Queen in Shakespeare in Love), four BAFTAs and seven Laurence Olivier Awards.
