An Adair County attorney was arrested by Columbia Police on multiple charges Sunday.
48-year-old Bethany Stanziano was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear charges out of Cumberland County.
According to Columbia Police, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle Stanziano was driving at around 7 p.m. on Jamestown Street yesterday. Officers detained Stanziano due to the outstanding warrant, and reportedly found the drugs following a search.
Stanizano was lodged in the Adair County Jail. She was arrested by Officer Trevor Foster.
Stanziano was found in contempt of court recently after she appeared to be under the influence during a trial.
