Hilbert man charged with store disturbance

CHILTON - A 32-year old Hilbert man was charged with four misdemeanors in connection with a disturbance at Econo Foods in Brillion on Tuesday, March 22.

Zachary F. Beard, of David Drive in Hilbert, was charged with causing criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident in the store shortly before 10 a.m. on March 22.

He was arrested by Brillion city police and taken to the Calumet County Jail, where he was booked into the jail at 10:40 a.m.

In addition to the charges related to his alleged behavior, he was also charged with two counts of bail jumping, for violating conditions of bond from an earlier criminal case.

Calumet County Circuit Court Judge Carey Reed ordered Beard held in lieu of $500 cash bond. The judge also ordered that Beard have no contact with Econo Foods, and that he maintain absolute sobriety - from alcohol and illegal drugs.
