ORLANDO, Fla.— Sydney Leroux knows a thing or two about soccer.

The Orlando Pride star and Olympic gold medalist added another box to her already impressive resume. Coach Leroux.

The forward recently became the Girls Director of Coaching at XL Soccer World.

“Why not help our youth and I love being a part of the community and I think XL is a great place to be apart of,” said Sydney Leroux, a professional soccer player.

Leroux is giving the next generation another reason to dream big.

“She is very professional and she is very good at soccer and it just feels good to play with someone who actually knows how it feels to work hard and play,” said Izabela Figuero, a youth soccer player.

“I think just being able to give back to the game and show that girls are capable of anything and they can be olympians, World Cup winners and moms and they can do it all,” said Leroux.

An important lesson that these young girls now get to see firsthand.

“Playing with Sydney Leroux is a very good opportunity plus it’s good to show that boys they aren’t the only ones who can do anything because a long time ago they were the only ones who could do anything. They were the ones that were popular. Girls just never had the chance and now we should just be very thankful that girls have the chance to be professional and play soccer,” said Figuero.

Leroux embraces the fact that she is an every day role model.

“Every single time we step on the field and I step on the field I like to give it my all and I hope that I am able to give that to them and they go on the field and give it their all. That’s all that I can ask for,” said Leroux.

Leroux instills valuable lessons that these future stars will never forget.

“Practice very hard. Practice every day,” said Serena Asquith, a youth soccer player.

“Believe in yourself and you can do anything you dream whether it’s soccer or any other sport you like,” said Figuero.
