AUSTIN, Texas -- Central Missouri pole vaulters
Vincent Hobbie and
Madi Wulfekotter highlighted the opening day of action for Mules and Jennies track and field at the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Thursday, March 24, at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus.
Hobbie, a senior from Stutensee, Germany, finished runner up in the men's pole vault after clearing an NCAA-II-best 5.35m (17-06.50) on his second attempt. His mark ranks third-best in school history and is the second-highest in all NCAA divisions in 2022.
A junior from Odessa, Mo., Wulfekotter placed fifth in the women's pole vault, clearing a height of 4.15m (13-07.25) on her first attempt. That mark ties for the best in NCAA-II so far this season and is second-best in program history.
UCM track and field is slated to conitnue competition in Austin Friday, March 25.
