Las Vegas (KSNV) —
Gas prices in Las Vegas increased three cents overnight, costing locals more than $5.24 a gallon on average.

We spoke with Nevada Senator Jacky Rosen about the record-high gas prices today.
She says she's working with state lawmakers to provide some relief at the pump.

"We’re trying to work with lawmakers here and in the state to figure out what we can do to lower those prices at the pump, so people’s weekly expenses don’t have to make a choice," the senator said in part.

Local gas prices have spiked more than 32% in the past month all while gas prices nationwide slowly begin to decrease.
