Man wanted for allegedly murdering popular Detroit rapper in custody after being gunned down

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The suspect wanted for allegedly murdering a popular Detroit rapper is now in custody after he was gunned down.

The Redford Police Department said the man is currently hospitalized after being shot in Detroit by an unknown suspect or suspects.

Authorities are saying this shooting is unrelated to the murder of rapper Schoolcraft Bone Consistent who was found dead inside a recording studio on Five Mile Road, near Telegraph Road, in Redford Township.

Redford detectives had been looking for this suspect and considered him "armed and dangerous" since the murder early Wednesday morning.

No motive has been released and charges are pending.
