Cory Drouillard, a modern movement art artist from California, was at the Gilmore Car Museum March 17 to film its 429 Boss 1969 Mustang as part of an art piece.
Drouillard was looking for the car to film it as part of a tribute piece to the "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker who had owned the vehicle.
The Walker dedication piece was titled "American Muscle."
Since only 859 of the mustangs were produced, Drouillard had a hard time finding the vehicle to finish his dedication piece.
He spent months tracking down the vehicle, finally finding it at the Gilmore Car Museum, according to Chris Harris.
The mustangs were sprayed in Raven Black, had color-keyed side mirrors and wide functional hood scoop.
The cars were built by Kar-Kraft, a Ford subcontractor, who reshaped the fender lips on each car to fit the 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels.
The Mustang was powered by the semi-hemi 429-cubic-inch V8 engine that generated 375-horsepower and 450 pounds per foot of torque.
Each car had a suspension made up of heavy-duty springs, shock absorbers and thick way bars in the front and back.
The cars also included power steering and power front disc brakes.
