Jake Paul and Jake Shields were among many shocked with the recently revealed fight purse of Paddy Pimblett.

Pimblett went 2-0 in the UFC following a first-round submission win over Kazula Vargas at UFC London this past weekend.

Although he wasn’t the main event, Pimblett got the biggest reactions on the night and played a big part in the event being a sell-out success.

With many predicting him to become the next big star, “The Baddy” made headlines recently when he revealed what he made on the night.

“12 and 12,” Pimblett said  “12[k] to show and 12[k] to win.”

Although Pimblett did take home an extra $50,000 after receiving a performance bonus, his basic payout is still pretty surprising given his experience and name recognition.

Jake Paul: Paddy Getting Pimped

It also makes sense that Pimblett has long spoken of not facing any ranked opponents until he gets a more lucrative contract.

But regardless, someone like Pimblett should be making a lot more even in their second UFC fight, and Shields believes the payout was embarrassing among other things.

“UFC main event making 24k is absolutely shameful and embarrassing to paddy and should be to Dana too

“I guess he wasn’t the main event but still unreal to make 24k and people in the comments acting like it’s fine”

Paul — who has been criticizing Dana White and the UFC over fighter pay for months now — didn’t miss the opportunity to comment on Pimblett’s revelation.

“Paddy Pimblett getting pimped. Who manages these guys?”

If this continues to be a big topic, it will certainly be interesting to hear how White reacts to it.
