After dropping a hard-fought match to Bacon County Monday night the VHS Girls and Boys Tennis teams bounced back with a strong “Senior Night” victory over East Laurens Tuesday. The Lady Indians won 3-2 and the Boys won 4-1. 

The three wins for the Girls Team came at 1st Doubles, Emma Beck and Jesslyn Collins (6-3, 6-1), 3rd Singles, Bess Wilcox (6-1, 6-0), and 2nd Doubles, Abby Brantley and Conley Brown (6-2, 6-4). For the Boys, 1st Doubles, Sukumar Paidi, and Jameson Rolen won 6-1, 6-1. Canyon Beck at 2nd Singles won 7-5, 6-4. The two other wins came by forfeit. 

This win finishes the region’s regular season matches and lands the Girls’ team in 3rd place for the region tournament scheduled for April 12th at Jeff Davis High School.The Boys finished fourth and will also be competing in the region tournament on the same date.
