The Atlanta Hawks finished on a 21-10 run to take down the New York Knicks 117-111 on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. Trae Young led the way for Atlanta, going off for 45 points (13-of-25 from the field, 12-of-14 at the line) and eight assists.
With under three minutes remaining and the Hawks trailing 105-102, Young nailed a long three-pointer to tie the game.
Young capped off his performance by dropping Taj Gibson with an ankle-breaking move that led to a bucket with 1:04 remaining.

Spike Lee — film director and diehard Knicks fan — didn’t have a fun time watching Young’s incredible night, and the TNT broadcast caught an example of that after Young drained a three in the third quarter.
Young has tortured Knicks fans frequently in his young career.
And he becomes the sixth player in NBA history to have 25 games with 40-plus points before turning 24.
The good news for Lee and Knicks fans is that this was the last meeting of the season between Atlanta and New York.
