Nesmith was assigned to the G League's Maine Celtics on Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Nesmith was recently cleared for action following a seven-game absence due to an ankle injury. However, he doesn't have a consistent role with the NBA club, so he'll presumably get extended run during his time in the G League.
