The Pistons assigned Lee to the G League's Motor City Cruise on Tuesday.
Lee has held down a role in the Detroit rotation over the past three games, averaging 8.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.7 rebounds in 18.7 minutes per contest during that stretch. The Pistons were without at least one of Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes and Cory Joseph for each of those contests, however, and with the trio expected to be available for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Lee may not have a path to minutes if he rejoins the NBA team.
