Sprong was traded to Seattle from Washington on Monday, along with a 2022 fourth-round selection and a 2023 sixth-round pick, in a swap for Marcus Johansson, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports.
Sprong has struggled to maintain his place in the lineup this season, frequently serving as a healthy scratch. Still, the 25-year-old winger did manage to record 14 points in 47 games for the Caps and should at least push for a top-six spot with the Kraken.
