CCGOP hosts SC Governor Henry McMaster

Posted

On Thursday March 10 the CCGOP had their monthly meeting at the Cornerstone Fellowship FWB Church in Manning.  We had 110 people attend this meeting and supper.  We packed the house.  It was standing room only when the meeting started and really not a lot of room left to stand.  We did utilize an overflow in the lobby until the meeting began.  Thank you SLED and Clarendon Sheriff’s Department for Security.

The Church Ladies fixed an excellent spread of Baked Ham, Chicken and Dumplings, BBQ Pork, Fried Chicken, Sausage and Chicken Perlow, Desserts, Breads, Veggies and Drinks.  Donations were accepted for dinner to be used for their charities.

Our meetings are on Facebook Live on our Clarendon Republican Party Page every month.  We encourage you to watch if you cannot be with us in person.  We had folks from Clarendon, Sumter, Calhoun, Williamsburg, Richland, Kershaw and Charleston counties that we are aware of.  Several county and state Officers were in attendance such as Sandra Bryan SCGOP, Sandy Chiong SCGOP Womens, Larry Wagoner Calhoun County Chair, Douglas Doster Calhoun County EC, Leon Winn former SCGOP Third Vice Chair, Shery Smith Fifth District Chair, Sumter Graham Williamsburg County Vice Chair, Representative Lin Benneett Charleston/Dorchester House of Representatives, Sumter County EC Gene Weston, Rose Easler Williamsburg Treasurer, SC Governor Henry McMaster and others including our Clarendon Officers Moye Graham Chairman, Bobby Lambert Vice Chair, Ed Mitman Second Vice Chair, June Brailsford Sec/Trea, Pastor John Matthers Sergeant at Arms and Terrey Streath our Communications Chair.

SC Governor Henry McMaster kept our members glued to each word he said.  He was entertaining and very informative.  Truly someone who loves South Carolina with his entire being.  We are grateful to him for coming and people like him and all our state Officers who have helped Clarendon become a Republican County and a county that any statewide elected official looks forward to visiting. Next month we will welcome our SC Comptroller General Richard Eckstom to our April Meeting on Thursday the 14th.  We are looking forward to welcoming General Eckstrom once again and we encourage you to come out and support our Republican Party.  We would also like for you to join us on Facebook if you are not already.  Our Motto is you can’t win without Clarendon and we can prove it.

Will you become part of the fastest growing county party in SC?  Come to our next meeting and see why you should.
