Entrepreneurs and creative thinkers, learn what you can gain from the VDC Community Sessions.

Calling all entrepreneurs, creative minds and dedicated problem-solvers. Each Wednesday night from 6-7 p.m. at the Venture Development Center, join like-minded individuals for the VDC Community Sessions.

The VDC Community Sessions are a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet other students who are facing similar challenges while bringing in new perspectives. Join fellow students with experience, and partake in exercises such as idea creation, goal planning and constant feedback. The members of the sessions work together to overcome their startup obstacles and try to think of alternative solutions to problems they have faced.

Vince Difelice, faculty director, Student Venture Support at Horn, asks students, “Do you want a future aligned with what interests you? To answer this question requires igniting passion for ideas that have personal meaning. Connecting passions to a marketable idea is done through entrepreneurship and discovery. This is the basis of VDC Community Sessions where students make this connection.”

Mike Meola, Class of 2023, the current mentor of the Community Sessions, notes the great atmosphere and people who truly want to help each other as key reasons that he enjoys attending. The sessions are not just for entrepreneurs with startups. Anybody who likes to think out of the box and help others is welcome to come and spread their ideas.

“The true goal is to empower each other and share the learning experience,” Meola said.

The VDC Community Sessions were driven by student needs and continue to grow as the Horn community expands. Sign up for the VDC Community Sessions today.
