Loons Gameday Preview

7 p.m. vs. San Jose * BSN, 1500-AM

Loons goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair will start again Saturday, coach Adrian Heath said, after his 1-0 clean sheet that included a penalty-kick save at the New York Red Bulls. St. Clair was a surprise starter when starter Tyler Miller fell ill. "Dayne did well enough," Heath said. "He has been very patient waiting for his opportunities. Dayne knows Tyler has done nothing wrong. We have difficult decisions to make, but it's a nice problem to have." ... Heath on defender Chase Gasper voluntarily entering MLS' substance abuse and behavioral health program: "We'll leave it to the professional people. He just knows we're here for him when he gets back. We just want him to get healthy again." ... The Loons are 1-0-2 this season while San Jose is 0-2-1, including 0-1 on the road. Each team has played Philadelphia. The Earthquakes lost to the Union 2-0 last weekend while the Loons played to a 1-1 draw there on opening day. ... Minnesota connections: Former Loons Francisco Calvo and Jan Gregus and Bloomington's Jackson Yueill all play for the Earthquakes.

The Loons list Gasper, D Romain Metanire (thigh) and F Patrick Weah (knee surgery) as out and D Oniel Fisher (thigh) and MF Franco Fragapane (thigh) and G Eric Dick (thorax) as questionable, although Heath said Fragapane will be available to play and Fisher won't.
