Lions re-sign WR Kalif Raymond to contract extension through 2023 season

The Detroit Lions have had a very busy month in their wide receivers room.

Earlier in March, they signed Josh Reynolds to a two-year contract extension with a maximum value of $12 million. Then on Tuesday, it was reported that they were expected to sign former Jacksonville Jaguars Pro Bowl wideout DJ Chark to a one-year, $10 million deal.

On Friday, they announced a contract extension with another one of quarterback Jared Goff's favorite targets from last season.

The team's official announcement of Raymond's contract extension didn't provide any further details.

In 16 games in 2021, the 27-year-old posted a career-high 840 all-purpose yards, including 21 punt returns for 236 yards. Raymond finished tied for second on the team in receiving touchdowns (four), third in receiving yards (576) and fourth in both receptions (48) and targets (71).
