WATCH: Adam Carolla calls Los Angeles mask mandate ‘crate training’ for children

.

Comedian Adam Carolla called out Los Angeles for attempting to force children into “crate training” as it maintains its school mask mandate.

Carolla appeared on the Megyn Kelly Show Tuesday to comment on the mandate as a father of 16-year-old twins.

“If you want to control somebody and you want to exact your power and authority over somebody, ask them to do something that makes sense,” Carolla said. “What they’re doing in the states that want the most power is the things that make the least sense because it means they have the most dominion over their populous.”

The comedian went on to call the Los Angeles Unified School District and teachers unions “a bunch of cowards” for perpetuating the mandate while school officials across the country drop theirs.

CALIFORNIA’S SCHOOL VACCINE MANDATE IS NOT BASED ON SCIENCE

“Just remember this phrase, Megyn: crate training,” Carolla said. “You cannot train a dog when it’s middle-aged. You’ve got to get them when they’re puppies and get them trained up and into that crate.”

“And that’s what we’re doing with kids,” he added. “Because this will not be the last emergency. And it will not be the last time the government and the governor and the mayor need to exact their power.”

Meanwhile, children have an incredibly high tolerance for the coronavirus. The Global COVID-19 Summit, attended by doctors and medical scientists, made a declaration in January arguing that children “face negligible risk from COVID.”

“Nothing is consistent about this entire COVID era,” Carolla said.
