The Tennessee Titans will not tender pending restricted free agent Khari Blasingame, a source with direct knowledge confirmed to The Tennessean on Tuesday night.

The source spoke on the condition of anonymity, as the team has not announced the transaction. The move means Blasingame, 25, will be an unrestricted free agent.

A former Vanderbilt standout, Blasingame had been the Titans' primary fullback since November of 2019, when he was signed to Tennessee's active roster off the Vikings' practice squad. But undrafted rookie Tory Carter emerged as a candidate to take his job last season. Carter appeared in eight games in 2021, while Blasingame was held to 11 due to injury.

As a lead blocker, Blasingame in 2020 played an integral role in Derrick Henry's 2,000-yard rushing season, the eighth in NFL history. Blasingame appeared in 15 games that year, including seven starts, and posted four receptions for 39 yards. He recorded 10 receptions for 97 yards and three carries for six yards in three seasons with the Titans.

Undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2019, Blasingame joins right tackle David Quessenberry as Titans' pending restricted free agents not to be tendered.

The Draft Network first reported that the Titans declined the option to tender Blasingame.
