Is Beth Torina next?

Damn near every coach has been either fired or left since Woody became AD. The list is long with: Coach O, Paul Maneri, DD Breaux, Nikki Fargas, and most recently Will Wade. Beth is the lone soldier standing for LSU's major sports. How much longer do you think until Woody pulls the trigger on her?

DD is not like the others on your list. She retired after a long career with LSU and is still involved in the athletic department. I don’t think her leaving is tied to Woody coming back to LSU.

If Torina gets canned it's not because Woody wants his own people, it's because she's consistently underachieved.

I thought there was a good chance her seat would warm considerably this season.
But it seems Howard Dobson’s five year plan, unlike Lou Tepper’s, may be coming to fruition. LSU’s bats hammered the number two team in the nation this past weekend.
Too early to draw hard fast conclusions, but this team is hitting very well. If this lasts through the season, Beth and Howard are safe and established.

When Oklahoma and Texas come into the SEC, softball will be elevated to a new level. Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, and Texas will dominate. 4 of the top coaches in the game and unlimited resources.
The path will get much harder moving forward. Reaching the College World Series is a nice goal. I think Woodward will expect national titles.
If I were a college looking for a coach I would contact Heather Tarr (Washington) and Lonnie Alameda (Florida State). Seems like names that would interest Woodward if he wanted a big name.

Do you really want to compare the historical strength of the football and baseball programs to the softball program?
