‘Teen Mom 2’ star Jenelle Evans diagnosed with fibromyalgia

Jenelle Evans, who’s endured chronic pain for years, has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

“For as long as I can remember, I would get extremely bad tension headaches and full body aches — like I had the flu, but was not sick,” the “Teen Mom 2” star told E! in a new interview.

“My entire body gets in so much pain and sometimes I lay in bed and cry. [For] a long time, no one believed my symptoms until I got a second opinion from a new neurologist.”

According to the CDC, fibromyalgia is an incurable condition that causes widespread pain, fatigue and sleeping problems.

Evans, 30, said that “living life every day is challenging,” because she only has “a little bit” of energy.

“I now know why my body is acting the way it does and it explains a lot. I never knew what fibromyalgia was until my doctor diagnosed me,” she added. “I am now researching foods to stay away from, and foods that are beneficial for my condition.”

Evans noted that her husband, David Eason, has been “super supportive” throughout the process, driving her to appointments and helping out around the house and with the kids.

Evans and Eason share 5-year-old daughter Ensley. The reality star also is mom to sons Jace, 12, and Kaiser, 7, with exes Andrew Lewis and Nathan Griffith, respectively.

“I want my kids to know that some days are good and some days are bad with fibromyalgia,” she explained. “Please have patience with me on my bad days and I promise to make it up to you on my good days.”

She continued, “I have private talks with my kids about my health and let them know they don’t have to worry, some days won’t be good but I’ll get through it.”

Evans and Eason, who said “I do” in 2017, have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout their marriage.

They called it quits and reconciled a few times, most recently after Eason shot and killed Evans’ dog for allegedly biting their daughter and following his June 2020 arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats.

The pair have since reconnected, appearing in TikTok videos together with all three of Evans’ children.
