Anne-Marie has opened up about everything from her voiceover role in Turning Red to the time she was mistaken for Drew Barrymore in a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK.

The 30-year-old singer made her first foray into the film world this week, thanks to Disney+'s new film Turning Red, and said she would be open to doing more in the future.

"Maybe," Anne-Marie said of an acting career. "I’d love to do it - I’d love to do an action movie and bring in the karate side of my life. But we’ll see. I really enjoyed this and I can’t wait for people to see the movie."

She also opened up about the time she was mistaken for another celebrity, adding, "A lot of people started saying that I looked like Drew Barrymore. I was once in LA, or maybe New York, and I was in Dr. Marten’s [shoe] store and someone actually thought I was her. Yeah I did [go along with it]. I didn’t say that it wasn’t her!"

Anne-Marie then touched on what happened after her fall at the Brits, which saw her trip on some stairs while singing 'Don't Play' with KSI. "The ankle’s alright!" she laughed.

"It’s not too bad. It’s better than what I thought it was going to be…I thought it was going to fall off, the direction it went in. No, it’s OK. I’m surprised I was even able to walk and carry on the performance. I was just really proud that I did that.

"Everyone was so nice about it. Afterwards, I was so emotional because everyone was so positive about it and being kind to me, that I was actually crying more about that then crying about what actually happened. [The memes] were making me laugh so much, I couldn’t not post them."

Ahh Anne-Marie, never change.

Turning Red is available on Disney+ now.
