In addition to re-signing Britt, who started 11 games at center for Houston last year, the Texans agreed to terms with seven-year veteran guard A.J. Cann.

Cann was a third-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015. He played the past seven seasons there, spending most of his time as the starter at right guard.

The Texans' new offensive line coach George Warhop coached Cann in the same role for Jacksonville from 2019-2021. Cann's deal is worth $10.5 million over two years with $4.5 million guaranteed, Wilson reported.

In other moves to address the offensive line, Houston also cut veteran right tackle Marcus Cannon to save $5.2 million and signed tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, who also played in Jacksonville under Warhop.
